A 15-year-old teenager beaten to death by his peers in Kokand
There were reports on social networks that the corpse of a 15-year-old teenager was found in the DIA building in the city of Kokand, Fergana region. The regional prosecutor’s office issued a statement on the situation.
It was reported that on October 16, R.A. (born in 2007), a resident of Sultan mahalla, Uchkuprik district, attempted to rob the “Ansar” shopping complex located in the village of Yangikurgan, Buvayda district. After the DIA officers caught him, the regional DIA in Kokand placed him in the Juvenile Socio-Legal Assistance Center.
“On October 17, R.A. fainted and his health worsened, he died while being taken to the hospital, despite the fact that the city emergency medical personnel were called and provided assistance to him.
According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic examination, the cause of the young boy’s death was “a closed head injury, a subdural hemorrhage, and a rupture of the brain substance”.
Olimjon Khaydarov, the author of the YouTube channel, said that on November 19, the teenager, who will turn 15 years old, bought 16,700 soums worth of goods in one of the stores and left without paying. According to him, after that, the boy was placed in the Juvenile Socio-Legal Assistance Center of the Kokand city DIA, where there are also several teenagers who have committed crimes for a long time. It is said that a group of teenagers beat him and made fun of him.
On October 18, the Kokand city prosecutor’s office initiated a criminal case under Paragraph “d” of Article 104-3 of the Criminal Code (inflicting grievous bodily harm that caused the victim’s death) in connection with this situation.
During the investigation, accusations were announced against two persons directly involved in the crime, and a precautionary measure in the form of “imprisonment” was applied against them.
Also, on the above fact, a service check was appointed against employees of the DIA Juvenile Socio-Legal Assistance Center.
