Death of a 15-year-old boy in Kokand DIA:  two police officers were fired

It was reported that a 15-year-old boy died after being beaten by his peers in the Juvenile Socio-Legal Assistance Center in Kokand. According to the Department of Internal Affairs of Fergana region, 2 employees of the DIA were dismissed due to the incident.

It is noted that on October 17, in the dormitory of the Juvenile Socio-Legal Assistance Center in Kokand, two minors were found to have injured R.A., the deceased boy. After that, a criminal case was initiated by the Kokand city prosecutor’s office under Paragraph “d” of Article 104-3 of the Criminal Code, and the above 2 minors were detained.

On the day of the incident, 2 employees of the DIA who were on duty left the detained teenagers without supervision and did not prevent the quarrel. They were dismissed from the ranks of the MIA.

Currently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is investigating the situation.
