11 archaeological objects worth 6 billion soums damaged in Kashkadarya
Together with the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the state of conservation, restoration, and repair of cultural heritage objects located in Kashkadarya region was studied, the PGO press service reports.
It is noted that when 1,468 cultural heritage objects located in the region were studied directly on the basis of a competition, it was found that more than 500 cases of violations of the law were allowed in the use of cultural heritage objects.
In particular, it was determined that 6 billion soums worth of damage was caused to 11 archaeological heritage objects, and a criminal case was initiated.
Also, as a result of the partial destruction of the archaeological heritage objects “Dongtepa”, “Nomsiztepa” and “Avliyotepa” belonging to the 5th-8th centuries, located in Karshi district, the objects were caused damage in the amount of 1 billion 488 million soums.
“During the inspection, it was ensured that 5 outdoor advertising banners illegally placed on cultural heritage objects were removed, 10 entrepreneurs who were using the cultural heritage object without a lease contract were legalized, and illegal installations in 11 cultural heritage objects were demolished,” the report said.
37 persons were brought to administrative responsibility and 7 petitions were submitted to the courts.
