Uzbekistan condemns terrorist attack in Samangan province of Afghanistan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has issued a statement condemning the terrorist attack in the Afghan province of Samangan.
“We strongly condemn the terrorist act committed on November 30, 2022, at a religious school in the Afghan city of Aybak, Samangan province. It led to numerous casualties, mainly among young students.
We reiterate that such violent actions provoke an escalation of tension and impede the establishment of sustainable and long-term peace, as well as the achievement of a national accord in Afghanistan.
We express our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” the statement said.
Local sources reported that following the explosion, nearly 16 students of the school were killed and 27 were injured.
