Uzbekistan increases electricity imports from Turkmenistan
Daily electricity imports increased by an average of 2-3 million kWh.
Uzbekistan has increased the daily volume of electricity imports from Turkmenistan, the press service of the Energy Ministry reported.
In order to increase the volume of electricity supply to consumers in Uzbekistan, the daily import of electricity from the Turkmenenergo corporation has been increased from 17-18 million kWh to 20-21 million kWh.
Earlier, it was reported that due to a decrease in air temperature in Uzbekistan, the volume of gas production and, as a result, the volume of electricity generation at power plants decreased. In this situation, an instruction was given to save the supplied electricity and, as a limitation, introduce a rolling blackout lasting no more than 2 hours.
