Bad weather temporarily limits work of Karshi airport
The operation of Karshi airport was temporarily restricted due to bad weather.
Reduced visibility (400 m), fog and strong wind caused the Azimut airline flight to be diverted to an alternative airfield in Samarkand, Uzbekistan Airports reported.
Due to unfavorable weather conditions, flight A47095 belonging to the Russian airline Azimut from Moscow to Karshi was diverted to Samarkand airport.
The plane with 100 passengers landed at the airport at 07:15 local time.
As the weather improves, the flight is expected to depart from Samarkand to Karshi.
