The decree, signed on June 23, also raises the minimum monthly wage from UZS 1.271 million to UZS 1.36 million. The base calculating amount, used to determine certain state duties, fees, fines and other payments, will increase from UZS 412,000 to UZS 440,000.
The new rates were set under Presidential Decree No. PF-115, “On increasing the amount of wages, pensions, scholarships and allowances”.
The document provides for a separate timetable for increasing pensions and social benefits, which were raised by 7% on July 1.
Under the July increase, the minimum old-age pension was set at UZS 983,000 per month, while the minimum disability pension rose to UZS 1.083 million. The base amount used to calculate pensions was set at UZS 504,000.
The additional expenditure associated with the increases in wages, pensions, scholarships and allowances will be covered by the State Budget and the off-budget Pension Fund under the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
