Uzbekistan and US to strengthen cooperation in Afghan direction

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, prospects for the development of Uzbek-American dialogue in the Afghan direction.
The ambassador highly appreciated the policy of the leadership of Uzbekistan on providing humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan. The importance of closer cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States in the peaceful resolution of the Afghan problem was emphasized.
The sides agreed on the need to achieve national reconciliation in Afghanistan as soon as possible, and the need for the country’s new government to fulfill its obligations.
