As it became known, a toxic batch of the Dok-1 Maks drug was distributed throughout Uzbekistan. Signals began to come from the regions of Fergana Valley.
Abdukayum Tukhtakulov, head of the Fergana regional health department, told UzA that a three-year-old child from Kuvasay district, who took Dok-1 Maks, is currently being treated in the intensive care unit of the Fergana regional branch of the republican scientific center for emergency medical care.
The general condition of the patient is critical. The child is being treated according to appropriate and approved standards.
“I personally took control of the situation,” Abdukayum Tukhtakulov said.
He also asked parents not to self-medicate, but to contact healthcare workers with any questions.
According to the latest data, in Uzbekistan, the number of children who died after using the Dok-1 Maks drug has reached 19.
