Representatives of the “Yuksalish” nationwide movement called on all employers to take a closer look at the organization of work processes during the period of abnormal frosts.
Reportedly, the staff of “Yuksalish” movement is switching to a remote mode of operation from January 9 to 15.
“This decision was made due to difficulties with the heating system of the central office building. Regional divisions are also switching to an online format,” the report reads.
They also urged all employers - both in the public and private sectors - to take a closer look at the organization of work processes. Familiarize yourself with working conditions, ensure a comfortable temperature regime in offices and premises.
In addition, the movement called for transferring staff to a remote mode of operation if there is no need for the physical presence of employees at the workplace. In their opinion, the pandemic has shown that even in this format, it is possible to effectively fulfill the tasks set. This will unload and secure the roads during the period of ice and precipitation.
“It is important to reduce the length of the working day, especially for those who work outdoors. If possible, organize hot drinks for staff, consider the shifts and breaks to prevent cases of hypothermia and frostbite,” they noted.
The movement’s employees also recommended providing “warm corners” with hot tea in large retail chains and public service centers.
“It is necessary to ensure the uninterrupted running of public transport. Since with the deterioration of the weather and precipitation, the number of personal cars on roads will be significantly reduced. The main thing is not to be indifferent, to share warmth on cold winter days, to lend a helping hand to those in need,” they said.
They also invited Uzbeks to visit lonely elderly neighbors, large families in mahallas, mothers who raise children alone.
“Ask if they have heating, electricity, gas? Maybe they need help with firewood or coal? They might need some warm clothes. You can just bring another warm blanket or treat with something delicious, homemade. When traveling in a private car, give someone a lift if they are on the same route with you,”the movement concluded.
