A number of schools in Andijan begin 3rd quarter in cold rooms (video report)

The winter vacation was scheduled until January 18 due to the anomalous cold weather. But since January 11, classes have started in most regions, especially in schools in Andijan. Kun.uz correspondent visited schools in Andijan and saw how hot they are.

According to the governor’s office, classes have started only in schools that are ready for the educational process and have no problems with the heating system. But our observations showed that this is not the case.

In particular, classes started on January 11 in the school No. 50 in Andijan. However, the school’s heating system is not satisfactory.

The heating system of the school No. 11 in the city is almost not working. Electric heaters are installed in the rooms. However, this did not help the institution to fully warm up.

“Our heaters worked all night. If we had started heating earlier, this would not have been a problem. When there are many students, the rooms get hot. It is usually hot until the hall of our school. In terms of attendance, there are classes with 8-9 students and more than 20 students. It also depends on where they come from,” Malokhat Dadaboyeva, deputy director of the school No. 11, said.

The rooms are cold because the lights went out in the school No. 21 in Andijan district. It has been more than 2 hours since the light went out. After the electricity supply is restored, it still takes some time to heat the rooms.

Schools in Asaka district have not held classes due to the start of schooling on January 12. Also, letters of guarantee were received from the school principals stating that the schools are ready for the winter season, there are no problems with the heating system, and they are ready to start classes from January 12. These letters are being written to the regional governor Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov.

A Kun.uz reporter, who was in two educational institutions of Shakhrikhon district, witnessed that the heating system is better than the rest. These are 1-shift schools, and the lessons had already been finished when the reporter visited.

During the study, we witnessed that only a few schools have satisfactory heating conditions. In addition, half of the students did not come to the educational institutions. It can be seen from the above that the regional authorities were in a hurry to start the teaching process.
