Snowstorm forces multiple flights bound for Fergana Valley to divert to alternate airports

Several flights en route to Fergana Valley were diverted to alternate airports due to heavy snowfall and adverse weather conditions.

According to Uzbekistan Airports, the diversions affected flights operated by five different airlines that were scheduled to land in Andijan and Namangan. Poor visibility and snowfall in the region made landings unsafe, prompting flight crews to reroute in line with aviation safety procedures.

Among the diverted flights, S7 Airlines flight S76311 from Irkutsk to Andijan landed at Osh airport at 00:01 local time. Air Samarkand flight 9S5010, operating the Jeddah–Namangan route, was redirected to Samarkand, where it landed at 00:27. Another Namangan-bound flight, Ural Airlines flight U62963 from Yekaterinburg, also landed in Samarkand at 00:40.

Uzbekistan Airways flight HY9806 from Samara to Namangan was diverted to Tashkent and landed at 04:11 local time. FlyOne Asia flight 7Q4452 from Medina to Namangan was likewise redirected to Tashkent, landing at 06:05.

Uzbekistan Airports reported that Namangan International Airport has since resumed normal operations, with flights currently being handled according to schedule.
