The first two aircraft of the new carrier arrived on January 18.
A new passenger airline, Centrum Air, has been established in Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Airports reports.
The first batch of aircraft of the carrier arrived in Tashkent from Vilnius on the evening of January 18. Two Airbus A320-232 aircraft landed at the capital’s airport at 19:07 and 19:18, where they were welcomed by the company’s management and journalists.
According to the airport operator, Centrum Air plans to acquire another aircraft – Boeing 737 – in the near future.
The Telegram channel Aerospace Lad noted that Centrum Air was created by My Freighter as a passenger subsidiary.
In October 2022, My Freighter purchased the first Boeing 747-200 aircraft in Uzbekistan. It also became the first own aircraft of the company.
My Freighter was established at the end of 2019. The founders of the company with an authorized capital of 6.42 billion soums are Khafizjon Gafurov and Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov.
Now there are four private passenger airlines in Uzbekistan: Qanot Sharq, Panorama Airways, Air Samarkand and Centrum Air.
