A video message was circulated on social networks, in which Ulugbek Kabuljanov, the prosecutor of Angren, expressed indignation that the roads at school No. 22 were not cleared of snow and ice. At the same time, the prosecutor added that teachers were absent from the workplace and received their salary for nothing.
After that, photographs appeared on the Internet in which teachers of this school cleared snow on the territory of the educational institution.
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education stated that the involvement of schoolteachers in work not related to their official duties is prohibited by law, and reported about the transfer of materials to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Later, Angren’s prosecutor apologized to the teachers who were involved in clearing the paths from snow on the school area, and expressed deep respect to them.
The prosecutor noted that he did not ask for teachers to clear the territory.
“When I visited this school, I saw that the territory of the educational institution was not cleared of ice and snow. Since this could pose a threat to children and school staff, I informed the administration of the educational institution about the need to clear the area. I asked that the people responsible for cleaning, not the teachers, should do this,” the prosecutor said.
In conclusion, he expressed regret over what had happened and again asked for forgiveness from the teachers involved in cleaning the area.
The Tashkent regional prosecutor’s office reported that a disciplinary measure in the form of reprimand was applied against the prosecutor Ulugbek Kabuljanov.
