BelAZ truck overturns at Angren coal mine, driver dies

"Uzbekkumir" JSC provided details regarding the tragic incident at the Angren coal mine.

According to the report, on March 5 at approximately 10:15 AM, a BelAZ dump truck slipped backward while unloading rock formations, overturned, and caught fire.

Firefighters from "Uzbekkumir" JSC promptly arrived at the scene and managed to fully extinguish the fire.

The driver, A. Akhmadjonov, sustained severe injuries. The company’s medical staff provided first aid, and he was urgently transported to the city’s central hospital. However, despite medical efforts, the driver passed away at the hospital.

Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the incident.
