Flights on the new route are operated every Monday on SSJ-100 aircraft.
The Russian airline Azimuth has launched flights on the route Mineralnye Vody - Samarkand, the press service of Uzbekistan Airports reported.
The first plane arrived at Samarkand International Airport on January 23 at 4:26 am. The crew and passengers were solemnly welcomed at the terminal.
The new route is served by SSJ-100 aircraft. Flights will operate once a week, on Mondays.
Azimuth is based at the airports of Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar, flying between regional airports in Russia and neighboring countries. The company was founded in 2017 and operates on principles similar to low-cost airlines, although it does not position itself as such.
