Proceeds from the sale of state-owned objects to be directed to development of mahallas

The President signed the decree “On amendments and additions to some documents of the President of Uzbekistan”.
According to the changes:
• when public property objects are put up for auction for lease, the lease period is determined as three years according to general principles. If the lessee fulfills his obligations on time and in full, the lease term will be extended for three years;
• objects of ministries and agencies, local government bodies that have not been used for more than 3 months and are vacant (except for social objects) are put on online auction for rent or sale without their consent.
The funds of the State Assets Management, Transformation and Privatization Fund will be distributed as follows:
• the proceeds from the sale of state real estate objects with an area of 2,000 square meters in the mahalla based on the online order of the governor’s assistants will be directed to the funds for solving social-economic problems of the mahalla of the respective neighborhoods;
• in accordance with privatization programs, the proceeds from the sale of state assets located in the Republic of Karakalpakstan will be directed to the regional fund for the development of water supply and sewage systems under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
