In particular, an agreement on cooperation in the field of energy was signed between the ministries of energy of the two countries, as well as “roadmaps” for the expansion of cooperation between the neighboring regions of the two republics.
An extended meeting was held in Bishkek with the participation of the presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev thanked the leader of Kyrgyzstan for his efforts in solving the border issue.
“We considered each issue thoroughly, without haste. And we have no more problematic questions.
During the 31 years of independence, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan achieved such level of relations for the first time in history. I would like to express special thanks to my colleague Sadyr Nurgojayevich for his personal support.
Without his political will, we would not have achieved results in border issues. Solution of these issues have been delayed for 30 years. Therefore, I would like to once again express my gratitude to the president of Kyrgyzstan,” the head of Uzbekistan said.
After that, a document exchange ceremony was held with the participation of heads of delegations of the two countries and representatives of the government.
Bilateral documents exchanged within the framework of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan:
1. Declaration on comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan;
2. Protocol on the exchange of ratifications of the agreement between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on separate sections of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border;
3. Agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan on the prevention and elimination of emergency situations;
4. Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Mutual Movement of Citizens between the Governments of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan signed on October 3, 2006;
5. Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on cooperation in establishing the production of automobiles and commercial equipment in the Kyrgyz Republic;
6. Protocol on amendments to the MoU on the establishment of the Council of Governors of border regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and authorized representatives of border regions of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, signed on September 6, 2017;
7. Program for 2023-2025 on strategic trade and economic partnership between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan;
8. Agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture between the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan;
9. Protocol on the procedure for cooperation between the Customs Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic in exchange of customs statistical data in mutual trade;
10. Protocol on cooperation between the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan and the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan in the field of prevention, detection and stopping of suspicious financial transactions by participants of foreign economic activity;
11. Agreement on cooperation in the field of energy between the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan;
12. Agreement on the development of cooperation in the coal industry between the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan;
13. Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan on the construction of the “Chotqol” HPP cascade;
14. Agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan on the development of priority areas of industry;
15. Agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan and the National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyzstan;
16. Agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan;
17. Agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan and the State Agency for Intellectual Property and Innovation under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan;
18. Plan of joint events to widely celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan;
19. Agreement on cooperation in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres between the authorities of Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan and the office of the authorized representative of the Kyrgyz president in Issykkul region;
20. Expanding cooperation between the Andijan region of Uzbekistan and the Osh region of Kyrgyzstan for the years 2023-2025 (“roadmap”);
21. Comprehensive program for 2023-2025 on expansion of cooperation between the administration of Fergana region of Uzbekistan and Botken region of Kyrgyzstan (“roadmap”);
