An extended meeting was held in Bishkek with the participation of the presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev thanked the leader of Kyrgyzstan for his efforts in solving the border issue.

“We considered each issue thoroughly, without haste. And we have no more problematic questions.

During the 31 years of independence, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan achieved such level of relations for the first time in history. I would like to express special thanks to my colleague Sadyr Nurgojayevich for his personal support.

Without his political will, we would not have achieved results in border issues. Solution of these issues have been delayed for 30 years. Therefore, I would like to once again express my gratitude to the president of Kyrgyzstan,” the head of Uzbekistan said.

After that, a document exchange ceremony was held with the participation of heads of delegations of the two countries and representatives of the government.

Bilateral documents exchanged within the framework of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan:
 
1. Declaration on comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan;
2. Protocol on the exchange of ratifications of the agreement between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on separate sections of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border;
3. Agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan on the prevention and elimination of emergency situations;
4. Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Mutual Movement of Citizens between the Governments of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan signed on October 3, 2006;
5. Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on cooperation in establishing the production of automobiles and commercial equipment in the Kyrgyz Republic;
6. Protocol on amendments to the MoU on the establishment of the Council of Governors of border regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and authorized representatives of border regions of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, signed on September 6, 2017;
7. Program for 2023-2025 on strategic trade and economic partnership between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan;
8. Agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture between the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan;
