Davletmurat Tajimuratov sentenced to 16 years in prison, Lolagul Kallikhanova released
Tajimuratov was accused of organizing public riots on July 1-2, 2022, in Karakalpakstan.

He wanted to overthrow the current government of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and become the chairman of Jokargy Kenes.
In the court, the prosecutor asked to give Tajimuratov 18 years, but he is sentenced to 16 years.
One of the active participants in the mass riots journalist Lolagul Kallikhanova has been released from the courtroom along with three other suspects.
She was accused of joining an organized group and distributing materials based on the ideas of separatism and calling the population to protest through social networks. The prosecutor requested an 11-year prison sentence for her.
