Illegal tunnels leading from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan discovered
In Andijan, 2 illegal smuggling routes from Kyrgyzstan were identified. Both are 60 cm wide, 1.5 meters high, and approximately 150-200 meters long.
In Kurgantepa district of Andijan region, the underground routes of illegal transportation from Kyrgyzstan were identified, the State Security Service reported.
It is noted that on February 3 and 9, the SSS and the MIA of Uzbekistan conducted an operative event. During the event, it was established that there are two underground roads, each 60 cm wide, 1.5 meters high, and approximately 150-200 meters long, leading from the territory of Karasu district of Osh region of Kyrgyzstan through the state border of Uzbekistan to the territory of Kurgantepa district, Andijan region.
Currently, investigations are being conducted within the framework of the criminal case initiated by Article 223 of the Criminal Code (Illegal departure or entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan).
