Over 1 trillion soums of VAT refunded to taxpayers

In January 2023, 1,161.9 billion soums of VAT were reimbursed to 975 organizations on 1,043 applications.

According to the tax service, taxpayers of the following regions received the largest number of VAT refunds:

• IRI for large taxpayers – 571.4 billion soums (24 organizations);
• Tashkent city – 222.5 billion soums (222 organizations);
• Tashkent region – 84.1 billion soums (82 organizations);
• Andijan region – 65.3 billion soums (108 organizations);
• Namangan region – 40.4 billion soums (95 organizations).

Industries with the largest amounts of VAT refunded:

• Production – 667.7 billion soums (292 organizations);
• Trade – 160.2 billion soums (235 organizations);
• Agriculture – 141.5 billion soums (183 organizations);
• Construction – 76 billion soums (61 organizations);
• Service sector – 68.2 billion soums (70 organizations).

Compared to the same period last year, the amount of VAT refunded was 147.3 billion soums more.
