An investigator of Akhangaran prosecutor’s office detained while receiving a bribe of $9,000

An investigator of the Akhangaran city prosecutor’s office of Tashkent region was arrested while accepting a bribe of $9,000, Kun.uz source reports.

Reportedly, the accused was detained while receiving the bribe through an employee of the National Guard, who guards the building of the city prosecutor’s office.

The PGO press secretary confirmed the fact and said that official information would be provided soon.

It should be recalled that on November 1, 2022, the assistant prosecutor of the Piskent district (Tashkent region) was detained while receiving $1,500 in bribe.

The Prosecutor General’s Office stated that the assistant prosecutor of Piskent promised the defendant a light sentence through the judge in the criminal case pending in the court.
