Lithuania appoints new ambassador to Uzbekistan
The Acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received the newly appointed Ambassador of Lithuania Gintautas Vasiulis.
On February 27, FM Bakhtiyor Saidov received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Lithuania with residence in the city of Astana, Gintautas Vasiulis, the MFA said.
At the meeting, the parties confirmed mutual readiness to intensify bilateral relations and considered specific proposals to increase cooperation in various fields.
The sides also exchanged views on the interaction of the two countries within the framework of regional and international structures.
