Gov’t to introduce a safety procedure for using reflective vests by pedestrians
In Uzbekistan, the procedure for using reflective vests by pedestrians moving on the sidewalks will be introduced, UzA reports.
This procedure is carried out in order to prevent traffic accidents, to ensure traffic safety on roads, as well as within the framework of programs aimed at preventing violations, combating crime and determining the causes of their occurrence, ensuring road safety.
It is noted that in accordance with the new procedure, in the dark part of the day, in the future, the use of reflective vests will be introduced for schoolchildren, persons moving on the bicycle path and pedestrians.
The MIA Public Security Department says that schoolchildren will be provided with reflective vests on the basis of sponsorship.
