James Robinson to visit Uzbekistan
World-famous economist, co-author of the book “Why Nations Fail”, Chicago University professor James Robinson is coming to Uzbekistan for the first time.
On March 17, a meeting of the British professor with students, scientists, leaders of social opinion, representatives of finance and economy and business circles will be organized in Tashkent.
Uzbek economists - Behzod Khoshimov, doctoral student of Wisconsin University, author of “Economist’s Diary” blog, and Botir Kabilov, doctoral student of Harvard University, author of “Uzbekonomics” blog, will also participate in the meeting.
According to the organizers, participants of the event will be provided with simultaneous translation into Uzbek and Russian languages.
The meeting will be held on March 17 at 17:00 at Intercontinental Hotel Tashkent (Trilliant).

For information, the book “Why Nations Fail” was published in Uzbek for the first time in 2021. The book was translated into Uzbek by Sirotullokhon Muhammadsoliyev with the permission of the author, and Behzod Khoshimov was the responsible editor.
