Ulugbek Kosimov approved as governor of Surkhandarya region
In December last year, Ulugbek Kosimov, who worked as the Tashkent city prosecutor, was appointed acting governor of the Surkhandarya region.
As a Kun.uz correspondent reports, today, March 13, an extraordinary session of the Surkhandarya regional council of people’s deputies was held in Termez. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the session.
Reportedly, the participants considered the organizational issue. Ulugbek Kosimov was approved as the governor of Surkhandarya region.
It should be recalled that in December 2022, Ulugbek Kosimov, who worked as the Tashkent city prosecutor, was appointed acting governor of the Surkhandarya region.
He was born in 1983. In 2005, he graduated from Samarkand State University.
He began his career in the Denau district prosecutor’s office in 2005. In November 2018, Kosimov became the prosecutor of Surkhandarya region, in September 2019 – prosecutor of Fergana region.
For information, in February 2021, Ulugbek Kosimov was appointed prosecutor of the Tashkent city.
