President reprimands governors of 7 districts and 2 cities
Under the chairmanship of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a videoconference meeting began to discuss the situation of introducing renewable energy sources at places, the measures taken to ensure the stable operation of the energy system in the summer season.
The President criticized the laxity of local officials in the implementation of the tasks set for the installation of small solar panels in households, business and social facilities.
In particular, the regions of Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Bukhara are showing good results in terms of installing solar panels in the social sector and government offices in order to provide uninterrupted electricity supply, while the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Tashkent city, Tashkent and Navoi regions are far behind.
The situation in the districts of Sergeli, Chilanzar, Uchtepa, Nukus, Beruniy, Bekabad, Parkent, Piskent, Kiziltepa, Gulistan, Syrdarya, Arnasoy, Bagdad, Furkat, Termiz, Altinkul is not satisfactory.
The situation of working with entrepreneurs is not up to the demand in any region. Although they planned to create 790 megawatts of power, only 50 megawatts of power have been commissioned to date.
The governors of Saykhunabad, Kogon, Jondor, Mirzaabad, Sharof Rashidov, Pakhtakor, Yangarik districts, Yangiyer and Urganch cities did not thoroughly study the issue. It has been decided that the governors of these districts and cities will be reprimanded and if they do not change in two months, they will be fired.
It was noted that some governors chose the easy option and got used to fulfilling the assigned task at the expense of ready budget funds.
