Police officer who physically assaulted a man in Surkhandarya being prosecuted 

It should be recalled that in the Muzrabat district in the sobering-up station, a law enforcement officer used force against a lying man. Then the press service of the regional DIA reported that the citizen, who was in a state of intoxication and disturbed the peace of other patients, because of which a law enforcement officer, trying to calm him down, used physical force.

The regional prosecutor’s office reported that, following the results of a pre-investigation check on May 19, a criminal case was initiated under Article 206-1 (abuse of official power) and Article 140-3 (insult) of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.

The regional prosecutor’s office has taken control of the case.
