Uzbekistan increases export of fruits and vegetables
In January-April of this year, Uzbekistan exported 359.2 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables for $256.1 million. This is 6.5% more compared to the same period last year.
According to the analysis of the Institute of Macroeconomic and Territorial Research, in January-April 2023, the share of fruits and vegetables in the total volume of exports was 3.3 percent.
The main export markets of Uzbekistan's fruit and vegetable products are Russia (27.4%), Pakistan (20.6%), China (16.3%), Kazakhstan (13.9%), Afghanistan (2.4%), Kyrgyzstan (2.4%), Belarus (2%), Türkiye (1.9%), Iraq (1.5%) and Iran (1.2%).
