Abbosbek Fayzullaev nears move to Turkey
Abbosbek Fayzullaev, midfielder for the Uzbekistan national team and Russia’s CSKA Moscow, is close to signing with Turkish Süper Lig side İstanbul Başakşehir, Daryo reports.
According to the source, CSKA and Başakşehir have reached an agreement over the transfer of the 21-year-old midfielder. Fayzullaev is expected to travel to Turkey in the coming days to undergo a medical and finalize the contract with the Istanbul-based club.
Başakşehir will reportedly pay €7.5 million for the transfer. However, the length of the contract has not been disclosed.
Fayzullaev was not included in CSKA’s squad for today’s Russian Premier League match against Orenburg, further indicating his imminent departure.
If the move is completed, Fayzullaev will become the second Uzbek player in Başakşehir’s squad. Earlier, the club signed Eldor Shomurodov on loan from AS Roma until the end of the season.
Last season, Fayzullaev played 39 matches across all competitions for CSKA, scoring 3 goals and providing 8 assists. His current contract with CSKA runs until the summer of 2026. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at €8 million.
