Penalties for cutting down trees to be increased
The amount of administrative fines for violating the requirements of the moratorium on the cutting of valuable varieties of trees and shrubs in Uzbekistan will be increased by 5 times. This was announced in the presidential decree.

Also, according to the document, the obligation to plant compensatory tree saplings instead of cut trees is determined. Additionally, legal entities are subject to fines ranging from 100 to 300 BCAs.
From January 1, 2024, plots of the state forest fund will be leased only through the E-auction platform. Privatization of landfills will be prohibited from July 1, 2023.
By the end of 2023, each state organization and hokimita will have their own parks and will be maintained for 3 years.
From January 1, 2024, growing tree and shrub seedlings at home or on a household basis is an activity (jobs, services) that self-employed persons can engage in.
