Around 1.6 million citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad in Jan-May 2023
Over the past five months of the year, around 1.6 million citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad.
According to the Statistics Agency, most of the travels abroad were to neighboring countries when Uzbeks visited their relatives (1.4 million people).
Travel goals of Uzbek citizens during the reporting period:
- visiting relatives - 1.4 million people
- recreation - 195 thousand people
- study - 17.1 thousand people
- medical treatment - 10.8 thousand people
- business trip - 5.5 thousand people
