UzAuto Motors significantly reduced production of several models
The production of Nexia T-250 decreased by almost five times, and Lacetti-Gentra – by more than 20%.

The automobile concern UzAuto Motors has significantly reduced the production of Nexia T-250, Lacetti-Gentra and Damas cars, the Statistics Agency reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in the first five months of this year, the production of Nexia T-250 machines amounted to 1,992 units. This is 4.7 times less than the same indicator for the last year, when 9,364 cars were produced.
In January-May, the production of Lacetti-Gentra decreased by 21% – from 35.3 thousand to 27.9 thousand cars, and Damas – by almost 10%, to 26.8 thousand units.
Nevertheless, the number of Cobalt cars produced remained at the level of last year (about 39 thousand units), and the number of special vehicles even increased – by 18.5%, to 8.6 thousand cars.
Also, for the corresponding period, UzAuto Motors produced 8,853 Tracker cars and almost 7 thousand Onix.
In December 2022, UzAuto Motors suspended accepting orders for Lacetti and Cobalt models. The first is planned to be discontinued in 2024, the second is to be replaced with a restyled version.
In May, the company announced plans to increase the production of Chevrolet Damas and Labo to 150,000 a year. The automobile concern suspended the contracting of these models in December last year.
On May 25, UzAuto Motors resumed accepting orders for Onix and Tracker. Then the company’s press service explained the decision to suspend contracting by preparations for the launch of sales of new configurations.
