Energy Ministers of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan discuss power and water supply issues
On July 3, Tashkent hosted a meeting of the Energy Ministers of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

At the meeting, the parties considered a number of issues related to the planned supply of electricity in the autumn-winter period, the provision of irrigation water to peasant farms during the growing season, as well as the implementation of a joint project for the construction of Kambarata HPP-1.
In particular, the ministers analyzed the readiness of the countries' energy facilities for the autumn-winter period, mutual redundancy, capacity regulation and planned supplies of electricity, ensuring its transit.
The issue of providing countries with irrigation water during the growing season was also discussed. The heads of the water management departments reaffirmed their commitments to supply water in the required volumes.
When discussing the project for the joint construction of the Kambarata HPP-1, the heads of the energy departments of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan noted the importance of its implementation in order to increase the supply of clean electricity to the region.
