PM Aripov meets with President of Azerbaijan
The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan is on a working visit to Azerbaijan.
On July 19, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.
At the meeting, Aripov noted that Uzbekistan values the relationship between the countries, emphasizing that Ilham Aliyev was the first of foreign leaders to congratulate Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his victory in the elections. “This is another confirmation of friendship and brotherhood between the heads of state of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan,” he said.
The parties stressed that today many joint new projects are being implemented in the areas of trade, investment, energy, agriculture, transport and logistics, and industry.
They talked about the importance of the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian Transport Route), the prospects for the participation of Uzbek companies in the free economic zone created in Azerbaijan, the activities of the intergovernmental commission, as well as the significance of the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, held on July 18 in Shusha.
