Court trial against Abdukodir Muminov kicks off

Today, July 25, the first hearing of the criminal case against blogger Abdukodir Muminov was held in the Mirabad district court. Aziz Obidov, press secretary of the Supreme Court, informed about this.

Abdukodir Muminov (born in Surkhandarya region in 1990), the head of "Oynaga qarang" LLC, is charged with the following articles of the Criminal Code:

• Article 141-1 (Violation of privacy), Part 2, Paragraphs "a", "b";
• Article 165 (Extortion), Part 3, Paragraph "a";
• Article 168 (Fraud), Part 3, Paragraphs "b", "v", Part 4, Paragraph "a";
• Article 189 (Violation of Trade or Service Regulations), Part 1;
• Article 28-211 (Participation in bribery), Part 3, Paragraph "a".

Sardorbek Sadikov, chairman of the Mirabad district court for criminal proceedings, will consider this case.

"Additional information will be provided at the end of the trial," the Supreme Court press secretary Aziz Obidov provided official information.

According to the approved indictment, there are 14 victims in this criminal case, and it was determined that they suffered material damage in the amount of 903,421,567.5 soums as a result of the crime.

For information, the blogger was arrested on February 8, 2023. Tashkent city DIA accused Abdukodir Muminov of asking $10,000 to solve a criminal case by distributing a video on the Internet, of which he received $3,800.
