Azizbek Ikramov becomes chief policeman of Fergana region
Prior to that, he worked as Deputy Interior Minister.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed a number of organizational issues during his visit to the Fergana region.
In particular, Azizbek Ikramov was appointed head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Fergana region. Prior to that, he worked as Deputy Interior Minister.
Azizbek Ikramov was born in 1978 in Tashkent. In 2000, he graduated from the Higher Technical Institute of Fire Safety under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2000-2017, he worked in various positions in the main fire safety department under the MIA.
Prior to his appointment to a new position, since November 2019, he worked as Deputy Interior Minister – Head of the Department of Spiritual Education and Staffing. For some time, he worked as Deputy Minister of Mahalla and Family Support (2020-2021), as well as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs for Protecting Public Order (2019-2021), Deputy Minister of Defense for educational and ideological work (2017).
Earlier, Mirziyoyev focused on the issue of combating crime and delinquency in Fergana and criticized the unsatisfactory state of affairs, after which he fired the head of the regional police department, Mukhiddin Jurayev.
