Police detain man selling his 2-day-old baby for 35 million soums in Surkhandarya
A man who wanted to sell his 2-day-old baby girl for 30 million soums was detained in the Angor district. He was caught while receiving $1,400 and 10 million soums.
Regional police detained the man.
Reportedly, the baby was born on July 17 and her 54-year-old father planned to sell her on July 19.
He was caught with physical evidence while receiving chemically processed $1,400 and 10 million soums in his residence.
A criminal case has been initiated against the man under Article 135 (Trafficking in human beings), Part 3, Clause "A" of the Criminal Code.
