Uzbekistan may start production of Chevrolet Monza 

UzAuto Motors may start production of Chevrolet Monza.

The official representative of the company informed Kun.uz that launching the production of cars of this model requires attracting large investments. At the same time, the production requires not only the re-equipment of the car factory in Asaka, but also the organization of the production of the necessary components by local suppliers. However, due to the growing demand and interest in Chevrolet Monza cars, UzAuto Motors is considering the possibility of SKD production.

In 2019 also Uzbekistan reported Chevrolet Monza production, when it was assumed that this model would replace the Chevrolet Cobalt. But at that time the representatives of Uzavtosanoat denied the existence of such a plan.

For information, Monza is one of the cheapest Chevrolet cars. The 3 updated versions of this model will go on sale in China in September 2022 with prices ranging from $13,200 to $15,200.

It should be noted that at the beginning of December 2022, the conclusion of contracts for budget models - Damas, Labo, Cobalt and Gentra was suspended. It is still unclear when the contracts for these models will begin.
