Citizen of Uzbekistan wanted for membership in religious extremist organizations extradited from Egypt
The detainee joined the ranks of religious extremist organizations and propagated their ideas among others.
Under the coordination of the National Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Cairo, a citizen of Uzbekistan who was on the international wanted list for membership in religious extremist organizations has been extradited from Egypt, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
The man attended secret meetings of terrorist organizations in Egypt and later became a member of an extremist movement.
There, he propagated the ideas of fundamentalism and carried out campaign work. He was hiding from criminal prosecution in Egypt.
The offender was detained in the course of operational-search activities, after which he was extradited to Uzbekistan.
