Egypt sends next batch of anti-hepatitis C medications to Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan Airways delivered the thirteenth batch of humanitarian aid allocated by the Egyptian government from Sharm-el-Sheikh to Tashkent on Sunday.
According to the Embassy in Cairo, a total of 80 boxes of 1,280 anti-hepatitis C medications will be distributed to patients after treatment by the Virology Research Institute under the Ministry of Health.
Egypt has achieved significant global success in the fight against hepatitis B and C viruses. According to the Ministry of Health of Egypt, the population of the country has completely recovered from this disease, and they are ready to share the diagnostic devices created by Egyptian scientists and their experience with Uzbek specialists.
According to the country's diplomatic office, the Health Ministry of Egypt expects the participation of the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Amrullo Inoyatov in the "Global Congress on Population, Health and Development" held in Cairo on September 5-8. During the visit, it is planned to discuss the prospects of expanding non-profit aid.
