Capital’s administration plans to increase number of public buses for new academic year

From September 4, the new academic year will begin in the whole republic. In this regard, it is expected that the number of buses in the capital will increase to 1.5 thousand, and the number of trips to 22.8 thousand.
Today, 1 thousand 464 buses are put into operation in the city of Tashkent, the number of trips on them is 21.7 thousand. “Toshshakhartranskhizmat” informed UzA that in connection with the new academic year, it is planned to increase the number of buses to 1,550 and the number of trips to 22,800.
It is expected to organize 9 more new bus routes during September.
For information, “Toshshakhartranskhizmat” JSC has 8 bus depots, which currently provide service on 158 bus routes.
Earlier, the “Toshkent metropoliteni” announced that the interval of train movement on some metro lines will be reduced to 1.5 minutes during “peak hours”.
