Uzbekistan concluded $1.88 billion worth of agreements on the sidelines of Agri-Food Investment Forum in Samarkand
On September 8, within the framework of the International Conference on Food Security in Samarkand, the Agri-Food Investment Forum was held.
More than 100 companies from 26 countries took part in the event.
During the forum, $1.88 billion worth of agreements were concluded: $857.3 million in direct investment will be attracted to 24 projects; $707.5 million in grants and funds will be allocated by international financial institutions for 14 projects. In addition, the Uzbek side signed trade agreements worth $319.2 million with partners.
The Samarkand International Conference on Food Security is organized by the government of Uzbekistan with technical support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
