UNWTO session to kick off in Samarkand

Samarkand is hosting the 25th session of the UNWTO General Assembly.

The event will take place from October 16 to 20. Representatives from over 130 countries of the world are expected to attend the current session of the General Assembly.

According to the organizing committee, about 300 media representatives were accredited to cover the event.

On October 15, UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili also arrived in Samarkand. He was met by the Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Government of Uzbekistan for the UNWTO General Assembly in Samarkand Aziz Abdukhakimov and the Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shodiyev.
