Two citizens who received potent drugs by mail from China detained in Tashkent
The drugs “testosterone” and “androstenedione” were imported into the country by courier services.
Employees of the anti-smuggling department of the specialized customs complex “Tashkent-AERO”, together with the customs post for foreign economic activity “Glavpochtamt” and the State Security Service, carried out a number of operative events, during which they discovered the import of potent substances by courier services, the press service of the State Customs Committee reported.
In particular, during a customs inspection of a parcel sent from China addressed to a citizen living in Tashkent, it was found out that instead of the specified cosmetics and clothing, it contained the potent substances “testosterone” and “androstenedione”. The total weight of the parcel was 4 kg 94 g.
During an operative event in the capital’s Mirabad district, a citizen who came to pick up a parcel was detained.
The same substances were found in another parcel weighing 4 kg 3 g. Its owner, a resident of the Mirzo-Ulugbek district, was also detained. In the apartment of the detainee, 12 kg 312 g of a white powdery, as it turned out later, a potent substance were found. Also, officers of the law enforcement bodies found there an unknown liquid, 5 test tubes, 1 scale, packaging supplies and $4,865.
It is noted that these substances were prepared for sale.
It is noted that “testosterone” and “androstenedione” are among the potent substances that are sold only through drug stores and social pharmacies.
Currently, a pre-investigation check is being carried out regarding the above cases.
