Legal entities may be fined up to 99 million soums for illegally cutting trees
According to the document sent to the Senate, legal entities that have illegally cut down trees and shrubs will be fined up to 99 million soums, and will be required to plant 100 saplings for each illegally cut tree and take care of it for 3 years.
A law aimed at strengthening the responsibility for administrative offenses related to illegal cutting of trees and shrubs was adopted in the Legislative Chamber and sent to the Senate.
According to the MP Odil Tojiyev, now a citizen or an official, who illegally cuts down trees and bushes, will be forced to pay a fine of five times more than the actual one.
Also, large fines are levied for preparing project documents that lead to the cutting or destruction of valuable species of trees and shrubs.
That is, in addition to paying a financial fine of up to 99 million soums for illegal cutting of trees and bushes, legal entities are also obliged to plant 100 saplings for each illegally cut tree and take care of them for three years.
