Senate of Oliy Majlis to convene for next plenary session on November 24

At the plenary session, laws on the privatization of state property and amendments to the Criminal and Administrative Responsibility Codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be discussed, and issues of changing the composition of the Supreme Court and others will also be considered.

The forty-seventh plenary session of the Senate of Oliy Majlis will be held on November 24. This became known during a meeting of the Council of the Senate of Oliy Majlis, chaired by Tanzila Narbayeva.

At the plenary session, which will be held via videoconferencing, a number of laws and issues, in particular, the Constitutional Law “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, aimed at further improving the procedure for holding elections and referendums”, “On soil protection and increasing its fertility”, “On privatization of state property”, “On introducing changes and additions to the Criminal, Criminal Procedural and Administrative Responsibility Codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and “On Amendments and Additions to the Constitutional Law” and “On the Constitutional Court”, will be discussed.

In addition, it is planned to consider the laws “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of the system of justice bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On introducing amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at bringing into line the names of the republican executive authorities”, “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

During the Council meeting, it was noted that the agenda of the plenary meeting also includes laws on the ratification of treaties between Uzbekistan and Italy, which reflect a number of issues, and “On the ratification of the Treaty between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on allied relations (Tashkent, December 22, 2022)”, issues on amending the composition Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan and approval of resolutions of the Senate Council.
