SOCAR to launch production of chemicals in Kashkadarya
The company will also build a laboratory to study drilling and cementing fluids.
The Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR intends to launch the production of chemical reagents and oil and gas equipment in the Kashkadarya region, Spot writes with reference to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.
For the purpose of import substitution, it is planned to establish the production of chemicals and drilling fluids in Uzbekistan.
Expert groups of Uzbekneftegaz and the Neftgaz Research and Design Institute of SOCAR in Baku discussed the development of a preliminary business plan for the project. Moreover, the Uzbekneftegaz working group got acquainted with the activities of testing laboratories that received an international certificate for drilling and cementing fluids.
Neftgaz plans to build a testing laboratory in Uzbekistan to study drilling and cementing fluids.
Following the negotiations, members of the joint working group agreed on the next stages of the project.
