Individual who organized a mining farm in Samarkand caused more than 2 billion soums of damage to the state
This person can be imprisoned from 8 to 15 years for criminal actions under the relevant article of the Civil Code.

An operative event was held in cooperation with law enforcement officers and specialists of the Samarkand Regional Electric Networks enterprise.
As a result of the operative event, it was found out that 33-year-old Kh.A., who lives in Samarkand city, illegally organized a mining farm using 21 mining devices in his home, the press service of the DIA Cybersecurity Department reports.
Allegedly, the citizen arbitrarily connected to the electricity network without any permits and documents for the operation of mining farm and caused material damage in the amount of 2 billion 252 thousand soums.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 169-4, Paragraph "a" (theft) of the Criminal Code. Investigation and search efforts are being continued in order to check whether Kh.A. is involved in other crimes of this type that have been committed and remained undetected.
In accordance with the law, the penalty of deprivation of liberty from 8 to 15 years is provided for the criminal acts in Article 169-4, Paragraph "a" of the Criminal Code.
