6 members of one family died from gas poisoning in Margilan
A couple, their daughter and three grandchildren who lived in the same apartment in the city of Margilan died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that the incident happened on January 26 at noon.
According to the results of studies, the reason for the incident was smoke coming out of the polyethylene chimney pipe: two pipes joined together got detached as a result of extreme heat and smoke filled the room.
The preliminary information of the forensic examination notes that acute carbon monoxide poisoning and acute cardiorespiratory failure were indicated as the cause of death. An investigation is currently underway.
